Christmas Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cups Powder Sugar
  • 1 Cup Butter, Soft
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Almond Extract
  • 2 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Cream Of Tartar

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  2. Combine flour and baking soda, mix well and stir into wet ingredients. Cover, and chill dough for at least one hour (or overnight).
  3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
  4. Divide dough into two and roll one at a time on floured surface to 1/4 to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into shapes with your favorite cookie cutters.
  5. Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake 6 to 8 minutes.
  7. Cool completely.
