My favorite pastry board is my two sided Catskill Craftsmen, over the counter pastry board. It has measurements along all the sides, as well as patterns of different size pie crust; 8”, 9”, 10” as well as a tart on one side and plain wood on the other. It has a 24 inch wide x 17 inch deep work space with a trim that helps secure the board at the edge of your counter on either side.
I find that placing a dishtowel beneath the board as a barrier between the board and the counter helps further secure it in place and keeps it from slipping and sliding when kneading dough.
